Vintages in Champagne

Vintages in Champagne French flag

The vineyard Champagne is the most northerly of France, he covers the departments of Marne, the Aisne, Aube, Haute-Marne and Seine-et-Marne. The varieties of this region consists of 30% Pinot Black, 30% for Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Meunier. Soils are relatively poor (in the Marne limestone and marl in the Aube) this which requires the roots of vines sink very deeply, sometimes up to twenty meters to find a bit of freshness.
